  1. I have been waiting for this also. However, someone else pointed out earlier that there is not going to be nearly enough drama for the general public, and I think they are right. Those of us who have actually put in our time there know there is plenty of real drama, but the BOH staff, if they are real cooks, are not going to provide the kind of snarky bullshit the viewers want to watch. Besides, all the bleeps would make the Osbournes sound like a children's show.
  2. For me, the funniest part of last week's episode was the little FOH bitch session about Rocco's concept of the place. I am trying to imagine a restaurant in real life where the wait staff would send a representative to the owner and tell him his vision of how the place should be run is wrong. Especially after they've been open for what, 4 days or so? Jesus...I was rolling on the floor about that.
  3. I like an awful lot of hot sauces, but this is what I have in my fridge right now: Tabasco: regular, chipotle, habanero, green, and garlic Kato's Island Sauce (habanero & mango) Franks Tapatio Da Bomb Beyond Insanity (man, this shit'll kill ya) The Pepper Plant California Style Sriracha Walkerswood Jamaican Jerk Seasoning (not exactly a hot sauce, but damn good)
  4. The real art of eating bacon is not only to eat the right slice at the right place but to leave uneaten the wrong slice at the tempting moment - Dorothy (pork belly) Nevill They can take away our bacon...but they will never take...our Pancetta!!!! - William (bacon) Wallace Bacon tends to corrupt, and maple flavored bacon corrupts absolutely. - Lord (do I smell bacon?) Acton

  6. Oh man, I could not agree with you more. Thank you.
  7. Just to say you have gone, of course. There are plenty of people to whom the experience of having been at a famous restaurant is more important than actually eating and enjoying the food.
  8. Oops! Kinda forgot where I was for a second...heh heh...*gulp* I just meant that it sucked for me. The hours, the stress, it all kind of of got to me after a while and something had to give so I just decided to bail.
  9. First time poster here (thank you, thank you!). I got out of the biz a few years ago after spending way too many years as a cook, so of course I can identify a little more with the BOH, but I actually usually got along fine with most of the wait staff at most places I worked at. Having said that, I do think the FOH is being portrayed relatively accurately on this show and can't wait for them to start showing more kitchen stuff. I need to be reminded of how bad that life sucked, but at the same time, my adrenaline kicks in when I see it either on tv or when I eat at a place with an open line. I love this show even though I know it has its faults, and I will tune in every stinkin' week until it is done.
