A friend from out of town is planning on opening a Spanish restaurant (not in NYC)  He is visiting NYC next week to get a sampling of the restaurants for inspiration.  I need to narrow down the options to 3 or 4 places.

From random internet reading, i have the following list:

Casa Mono

Socarrat and Nacional

Can anyone suggest some other places that are not to be missed?  Also, please comment on these.

Manzanilla - just reviewed in the NY Times.

I don't think you'll have a bad meal at Casa Mono.

I've had some good paella at Socarrat and some not-so-good paella at same.
