At least the first Little House book was set in Wisconsin. Later books took place in other Mid-West states.

The net-looking thing looks like stems from bittersweet but the berries are usually dark orange, unless it is a "faux" variety.

Looks like Peter's part of the world to me.
I don't think I've ever seen trees like that in Nova Scotia - and the stone looks wrong, too. It reminds me of the head of Sydney Harbour, I don't know why. Maybe it's Sydney, Nova Scotia?

That tree looks like it belongs in a warmer climate. My first thought was Table Mountain, South Africa. Who lives near Cape Town?
