Today the following message is being sent to all general members and participating members at the email address you provided in your eGullet Society member profile. Please open the message when you receive it (it will be personalized to you) and click on the confirmation link so that you can receive member communications, news and updates from the Society.

We are switching to a new email system that requires this one-time confirmation step. You can't be added to the system if you don't confirm.

We will not be sending you any additional reminders via email. If you fail to confirm now, you will NOT be able to receive communications from the Society. This is the exclusive means by which we will be notifying Society members of future happenings, news, updates, announcements and membership issues.


This is not the actual message. You cannot click on this link. Please respond to the one you receive in your email inbox, which is personalized to you.

If you don't receive this message, please do the following:

- Check your spam/junk email folders. If the message is there, add addresses @eGullet.org to your list of approved senders (instructions vary by email service).

- If you have multiple email addresses or have ever changed email addresses, make certain you're checking the email address in your Society member profile. To see your member profile email address click Options > Change Email Address (you must be logged in for this to work).

If you still don't get the message, it means we don't have the information we need in order to be able to contact you by email. In that case, you should change your member profile email address (by going to Options > Change Email Address while logged in) to reflect a different address.

If you change your member profile email address, you will still need to go through the one-time confirmation process for our new email system. Just enter your new email address in the subscribe box at the top of any eG Forums page and click go. The box says "Enter your email address to receive updates from the eGullet Society" and you will find it at the top of any eG Forums page.

Please note, we will continue to use the old system for your topic subscription notices and for relaying member-to-member email.

This is a reminder that in order to receive future eGullet Society member communications, including the news and updates mailing that will go out at 10:00 EST today, all general and participating members must confirm their email addresses by clicking on the link in the email message they received earlier this week.

If you didn't receive the email, please follow the instructions above and if all else fails enter your preferred email address in the "Enter your email address to receive updates from the eGullet Society:" box at the top of this page and click GO. This should trigger a confirmation email and get you into the system. If you don't receive a confirmation message, it means your email system is not compatible with ours. In that case, please send an email message to confirm@eGullet.org so we can investigate.
