Chef Bourdain - If that's too white collar for ya, I apologize - When I have a great meal or the kitchen goes the extra mile - I like to send back a round of beers to say "Thanks" or if I'm drinking an exceptional wine - I'll offer a glass to the chef.

What do you like to see as appeciation from a customer ?

Also, As someone who was raised Old School (by Gramps) and shown how and who to tip - Are people getting cheap ?

PS Loved KC (Yes, I went Hardcaover when the all the Ruckus stated ) and love the show.

Nah..tips are pretty good in NYC.  And a round of beer for the kitchen (arranged so as to be delivered at closing--or appropriate moment) is always welcome anywhere I work.
