I picked up Lonely Planet Street Food (Amazon Link) a few days ago and it's a great book, 100 street foods from a cross the world, a little history on them, where to pick them up in their native countries and how to recreate them at home. It's a great addition to my collection and i've started working my through it already!

I bought that a while back. Some of the stuff is quite....hmm....strange. Like breakfast burrito - not what I would consider street food. I mainly bought the book for the egg waffle recipe as I do have an old fashion egg waffle pan. Turned out pretty well.

As an expat who has lived in two Chinese cities which were described in a Lonely Planet guide, but which they had obviously never visited, I tend to give them a wide berth.
They are fine for backpackers, but are out-of-date at least a year before they are published, if they were even accurate in the first place.
