We literally forced ourselves to watch a whole "episode" last night. Can there be a worse piece of drek than this show?

And is there anything that the two hosts wouldn't whore themselves out for?

To say nothing of the 3 "judges."

Why did it have to come to this?

I know! I want to watch cooking on TV, but I want to watch someone with some self respect. Can you imagine Julia Child doing this?

We tried to watch it. Gave up after about 10 minutes. What drek. It'll probably be a hit.

I can't get enough of this show. For me it's like seeing a much, much FATTER guy with his shirt off at the beach....hard to look at, but I look like a lithe ninja next to him. It will be required viewing prior to being seated at one of my dinner parties...yes I will go that far to bandage my fractured self esteem.

So, like "Semi-homemade"?
This is my skillet. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My skillet is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it, as I must master my life. Without me my skillet is useless. Without my skillet, I am useless. I must season my skillet well. I will. Before God I swear this creed. My skillet and myself are the makers of my meal. We are the masters of our kitchen. So be it, until there are no ingredients, but dinner. Amen.

Lou Diamond Phillips I remember from "La Bamba"---about 25 years ago.

I can't watch the show. I tried and couldn't make it through it.

Do I have to invoke three of the worst words to come from this channel..."Ready, Set, Cook"!

That, gentlemen, is the whirlingest dervish of them all." - The Professionals by Richard Brooks

The current evolutionary phase of food tv entertainment, and the next one, and the one after that, will all be traced back to one common event. It is known as The Big "BAM!".
