Nipping off to lanzarote for a few days rnr, in a few days time!(Well apart from running and cycling up a couple of volcanos but thats a different story!!)
Is there anywhere a decent meal can be had or recommended, on the south side of the island? Nothing poncy, pretentious or 'generic foods from everywhere restaurants', which Im sure there are plenty of, in the latter case.
Simple and decent, be it a good steak etc, thats all, or am I asking for too much, never visited the island before.
Cheers

This may sound a little crazy but I found the german tourist areas had better restaurants, not german food, gott forbit, but better in general the germans being a little more demanding than the brits

I remember two good restaurants. El Bogavante in Yaiza, sea front, very good fish at fair prices and La Casa Roja in Playa Blanca in the Marina Puerto Rubicon. There is another tapas bar call Casa Brigida also in the Marina.
