Hey everyone,
I'm a huge fan of reds and ambers, but I just can't seem to find a really decent American variety. The best I've found is the Sam Adams Brick Red, which isn't saying much. I'd appreciate any suggestions you can offer.

How about North American reds? The big seller in Canada is Rickard's Red, not too bad. Even better is my fave Irish Red from Garrison's -- so malty and colourful.

One of my new favorites is Two Brother's Cane & Ebel...technically a "red rye beer", not sure if that meets your criteria.
True rye and true bourbon wake delight like any great wine...dignify man as possessing a palate that responds to them and ennoble his soul as shimmering with the response.

This topic caused me to wonder what accounts for the red color and in my search I stumbled on a large list of graded 'Irish Red Ales' (including one by Michelob, of all companies).

Had Southern Tier Big Red recently, and it was a great example. Malty, creamy, caramel notes, balanced.

Personally, I'm going to lean towards the hopped up examples of the syle. My favorite is Half Acre's Ginger Twin, but that recommendation is pointless as it was a limited release beer only available in Chicago.
More accessible beers would be:
-Stone Levitation
-Green Flash Hop Head Red
-Bear Republic Red Rocket
