Gambit is reporting that John Georges is the new owner. No Joke.

Edit: Whoa. I take it back. I initially thought John Georges has just bought into the deal for a small share, but he's now the majority owner. Can you say publicity stunt?

I dunno: the negotiations (and legal actions) were rather prolonged. With a reported $11 million price tag, it would be a pretty expensive stunt (as the media is reporting he's a majority stakeholder).

He wasn't involved in the negotiations, though, as far as I can tell. After the deal closed with Trosclair as majority owner, Georges came in and bought the majority share for himself.

That's what everyone keeps reporting, but I find that really hard to believe.
