We'll be in LV from the 10th through the 13th, dinner reservations at Bouchon, Nobu and the Foundation Room- anywhere we should hit besides Double Down Saloon for cocktails? :)
They seem to be doing a nice job over at Charlie Trotter in the Palazzo. Just expect to pay a LARGE amount of money.

Awesome, we're staying and playing at Palazzo, thus we may be able to get a comp out of this! We'll be in LV from the 10th through the 13th, dinner reservations at Bouchon, Nobu and the Foundation Room- anywhere we should hit besides Double Down Saloon for cocktails? :)

Go to the Cosmopolitan hotel. Just opened this past December. They really got it going on in the cocktail department. Had drinks in the Vesper Bar (the main lobby bar off the check in desk) plus the Chandelier Bar, the very impressive looking three story bar/lounge in the middle of the casino floor.
At Vesper, I had two different drinks on two visits. One was called the Violet Femme. Plymouth Gin, maraschino, elderflower syrup, lemon juice. Served up in cocktail glass rimmed with violet sugar. Tasty. nicely balanced. My second drink here the next night was called the Sage 75. A nice riff on the French 75.
Also had a drink at the casino level section of the Chandelier Bar. Drink was called the "Black Heart" Sazerac rye, creme de casis, balsamic reduction, basil, blackberries. It was quite delicious.
Seriously. Go to Cosmo.
PS: Charlie Palmer is now closed.

Been a while since anyone has updated this. I just got back from Las Vegas, and I have a new place to send people.

Weird! I just got back from Vegas and had the exact same drinks at the Vesper as you did. The Violet Femme was o.k, the sugar rim kind of steered things towards the violet candies I ate as a kid but it is very balanced. The Sage 75 was GREAT, very complex and refreshing after a walk down the whole strip.
I also drank at Comme Ca and had a wonderful improved whiskey cocktail.

If you're at the Cosmo, be sure to stop by Holstein's and ask for some locally-made beer.
I wish I recall what beer I had there. I am prtty sure it was a local Las Vegas beer. Didn't know you had your stuff there too. I knew you had it at Craftsteak.
